THE COPPER MEDAL : KI HEBA AAMARA TAMBA RA PATA….?

As I am staying outside Odisha where people and my students don’t know odia language. Just to enable them to read the great poetries of our renowned, prolific and versatile odia poets and writers as well as make them clearly understand the high philosophy of Odia literature and culture, I have translated many famous Odia poems to English and tried to post some of those translations in this forum in different times so as to acknowledge the valuable opinions and comments of our Odia friends. In this connection, the  nstruction, suggestion and opinion of the friends of the forum are highly appreciated…..

My English translation of the Odia poem:
KI HEBA AAMAR TAMBA RA PATTA……??
of the great poet Radha Mohan Gadanaik ]

THE COPPER MEDAL

What is use of this copper medal
In the celebrations of this gold jubilee,
What we see in our free nation
On the verge of the Sindh and Ganga, Cauveri ? [1]

To be freed from the cage culture
We have melted the iron rod
In barrel, bullet and hanging scaffold,
We have shed the sanguine blood. [2]

We ignited the high revolt
In the hot flame of the gruesome -death
We Bhagat Singh, we Uddham Singh
Laxman Nayak and Bajiaa – great. [3]

We Lok-Naik, we Biju Patnaik
We are Subhash, The horrible sphinx
We unfurled the National flag
Resurrecting like the dead-phoenix. [4]

We are those the war tigers
Survived after the freedom-war
What we see in our liberated country
A land of menace of high-terror !!! [5]

So, what is use of this copper medal
In the celebration of this gold jubilee,
What we see in our free nation
On the verge of the Sindh and Ganga, Cauveri ?[6]
