Tirtol police station IIC transfer, public oppose the decision.

JAGATSINGHPUR Feb 26.  Public resentments is brewing in Tirtol police limits due to sudden transfer of Tirtol police station IIC Abhinab Dalua, many people and social activists have demanded continuance of former IIC Dalua and to pull out the transfer order, threatened to go on agitation if their demands are not met.

Interesting to note that the IIC Dalua had put in to controversy following pre and post violence’s occurred in Tirtol police station during Prime Minister Visit to Paradip oil refinery inauguration on 7th February 2016.

Tirtol police station had ransacked and damaged by few BJD and BJP supporters and Niali MLA Pramod Mallick had assaulted and manhandled by saffron men, police had picked up 6 BJD workers and 11 BJP workers allegedly involved in the violence.

Both BJP and ruling BJD had claimed action against IIC Dalua and blamed the untoward incident occurred in Tirtol police station could have been averted, if IIC had taken timely step. Meanwhile district BJP unit had staged demonstration and protest meeting in front of SP office two weeks ago seeking action against IIC Dalua.

The District police administration two days ago has made a major reshuffle and transfer of few IIC,s serving in several police stations across district as consequence Tirtol police station IIC Abhinab Dalua has been shifted to Biridi police station.

But many people and social activists adjoining to Tirtol police limits have opposed the decision and described the police officer has been victimized causing political concern, six months ago he had transferred to Tirtol police station during his tenure he has proved his competence and controlled the local law and order situation especially his anti liquor drive had satisfied local denizens, they remarked.

We oppose his abrupt transfer from Tirtol police station, rued few social activists from Tirtol, meanwhile they had met district superintendent of police and demanded continuance of Dalua in Tirtol IIC.

On the other hand district superintendent of police Sudha Singh described the transfer of IIC,s from several police stations were effected due to administrative point of view and a routine work had been taken by police administration and she refuted IIC Dalua has been shifted causing political acrimony, SP remarked.
