RCB Team 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is a Bangalore-based franchise cricket team that competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team was founded in 2008 and plays its home matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB is founded/owned by United Spirits Limited an Indian alcoholic beverages company, and named after the company’s famous liquor brand Royal Challenge.
RCB Team never became the winner of the IPL but became runners-up in three seasons 2009, 2011, and 2016.
After the 2021 session, Virat Kohali stepped down as the caption of RCB so in the 2022 IPL auction they brought South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis for Rs 7 crore to lead the team.
