Ganjam has become the top district in India in job creation under Mahatma Gandhi’s National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
Ganjam district has provided 100 days wage employment to more than one lakh beneficiaries under the scheme in the 2021-22 financial year, official data revealed.
For the first time in the history of Odisha, more than one lakh households were ensured 100 days employment in a year. As many as 1,01,001 households have completed 100 days of employment under the MGNREGS in Ganjam.
