Paradeep- Indian farmers fertilizer co-operative limited [IFFCO] , Paradeep unit has been bagged several awards and appreciations in the year 2012 for its commendable work and exemplary performance in different fields and activities.
The IFFCO Paradeep unit has received two prestigious awards from the Fertilizer Association of India [FAI] New Delhi, the awards termed as Environment Protection Awards for a NP/NPK complex and Best technical innovation Award -2012, union minister of chemicals and fertilizers Mr Srikant Jena bestowed the awards in the FAI annual conclave held in Agra, Mr S K Gandhi IFFCO’s unit head had received the awards for the occasion.
The 13th annual Greentech Environment Award -2012 for IFFCO’s Paradeep unit is another feather; Green tech foundation a Delhi based nonprofit organization who engaged in dissemination of knowledge advancing the scientific , technical and practical aspects of environment protection including safety at work place had been assessed by the organization’s experts from different fields and recognized IFFCO’s Paradeep unit for deserving the award, in a glittering function held in a private hotel at Hyderabad Mr K Sharan, president Green tech foundation and Mr A K Hazarika former ONGC director gave away the awards and on behalf of IFFCO Paradeep unit Mr S Mohan deputy general manager [Environment and Pollution Control] had received the award in the month of October 2012.
IFFCO’s Paradeep unit has been felicitated with as appreciation plaque for its work and exemplary innovation in Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR] activities in Odisha state safety Conclave 2012 and received the prestigious Kalinga CSR Award 2011, his Excellency Hon,ble governor of Odisha Muralidhar Chandrakanta Bhandare conferred the award and Mr S K Gandhi IFFCO’s unit head received the award in a function held in Bhubaneswar in September 2012.
For working development for farmers community in Odisha IFFCO’s Paradeep unit has won the Krushaka Bandhu Award 2012, the award was instituted by Odisha Krushak Samaj an apex body working for the farmers in state since years, Assam Governor Sj Janaki Ballav Patnaik gave away the prize in a function held in Bhubaneswar in October 2012 and Mr S K Gandhi unit head received the award on behalf of IFFCO.
Moreover IFFCO;s Paradeep unit has been awarded as Water Efficient unit and reeived 9th National award for excellence in water managment 2012 by Confederation Indian Industry [CII], this prestigious Award was presented by Government of Rajasthan at water conclave 2012 held in December 2012 at Jaipur, on behalf of IFFCO the award was received by Mr P H Patel joint general manager and Mr P Venkateswarlu an IFFCO official.
Besides IFFCO’s Public Relations Manager Mr B K Sahoo has been felicitated by different organizations for his outstanding performance in corporate communication and public relations working in IFFCO’s Paradeep unit including outstanding support to the media persons in the year 2012. The organizations those felicitated Mr Sahoo as Odisha Journalists Union, Ambikai Gana Parishad, media houses as The Industry & Mines Observer and Odisha Jagaran and Askhya Mohanty Smruti committee, Khurda in the year 2012.
