One died, two injured in road accident.
JAGATSINGHPUR Aug 20. One teen aged girl was died at spot and other pillion rider and driver of Scotty sustained injuries and undergoing treatment at headquarters hospital here following a road accident occurred at Jayasola Bazar on Cuttack- Jagatsinghpur state highway on Tuesday afternoon. Report said that the Scotty driver carrying two teen aged girls were returning from Cuttack, while they overtook a teen wheelers cargo laden truck on the way faced the accident at spot and one teen aged girl crushed under the wheels of the truck was identified as Saraswati Behera hailing from Jayatalanga village under Balikuda area and others sustained injuries. Local residents rescued the injured duo victims and sent them to headquarters hospital for treatment; police seized the dead body and sent for postmortem meanwhile the truck driver has surrendered and police have seized the truck. Physical challenged teachers staged demonstration.
JAGATSINGHPUR Aug 20. About 72 physical challenged teachers those were appointed in several primary schools across Jagatsinghpur district, subsequently retrenched by government staged demonstration and protest meeting in front of collector office here on Tuesday. The angry disabled teachers fumed they had been appointed by OPEPA in the year 2010 but suddenly they came under retrenchment following a government order on 11 March 2013, challenging the illegal government’s endeavor they approached Odisha high court subsequently , studying the case facts High court granted an interim order , ironically when the matter is pending at High court OPEPA issued a fresh retrenchment order on 28 June shouting immediate removal of these category teachers from schools, the incident brought immense hardship for our sustainability and employment, as consequence we opposed the OPEPA decision and demand immediate rollback the order, rued Jagatsinghpur district disabled teachers leader Rama Chandra Khatua. Latter the agitated teachers submitted a memorandum before sub collector Jagatsinghpur that addressed to state chief minister for seeking his interference and giving security of their employment. JAGATSINGHPUR Aug 20. One Ratnakar Rout a middle aged man from Bhitari Andhari village under Erasama block died at SCB Medical College and hospital in Cuttack on Tuesday, the deceased man was sustained injuries following a land dispute occurred in village two days ago. Report said that the deceased and one Sunakar Parida of the same village were long dispute over a piece of land , the incident wore a ugly turn on Sunday afternoon following cutting of a tree on the land, as consequence both and their family members fought a pitch of battle at village as result Ratnakar was sustained injuries for which he was shifted to Erasama hospital for treatment where he was sent to SCB Medical college and Hospital in Cuttack when his condition turned critical, he succumbed to his injures there, police seized the dead body and performed legal formalities while the alleged accused persons have been absconded from village so no arrest has done yet, police said.
