IFFCO’S Public relations manager B K Sahoo retires.

JAGATSINGHPUR Aug 01. After spending about three decades in country’s biggest cooperative fertilizer producing entity IFFCO, Mr B K Sahoo Public relations manager of IFFCO’s Paradeep unit retired from service on 31 July. Mr Sahoo had joined IFFCO’s Paradeep unit in public relations department after the cooperative giant took over ailing OSWAL’s Paradeep fertilizer plant in the year 2005 and continued in service till his superannuation and proved his carrier a successful public relations officer handling print and electronic medias, in the fields of publicity, welfare works and corporate social responsibility affairs. A post graduate diploma in industrial relations and personal management [IRPM] and a law graduate from Utkal University Mr Sahoo had began his carrier from Odisha state warehousing corporation and subsequently joined IFFCO’s marketing division, Calcutta in the year 1985 and continued till 1994,then he returned to home state Odisha and posted at IFFCO’s marketing division from 1994 to 2002 then shifted to IFFCO’s Raipur marketing division where he worked for three years , following the event IFFCO occupied OSWAL’s Paradeep unit in the year 2005 Mr Shoo again returned to Odisha and appointed as Public Relations Manager at IFFCO’s new venture at Paradeep. Mr Sahoo had proved himself as a good social communicator and maintained excellent public relations management during his tenure in IFFCO as consequence rewarded and appreciated by many organizations lauding a successful Public relations personality of Odisha for his spectacular works. The organizations gave away rewards and appreciations to Mr Sahoo included as Odisha’s fortnight business magazine IM Observer, Ambikai Gana Parishad, Odisha Journalists union, Odisha Jagarana, Akshay Mohanty foundation, Bijaya Mohapatra Smruti Parishad, Farmers development co- operative ltd, Odisha Pragatishila Lekhaka Sangha including CSR award by Rotary club and CSR award by district collector Kendrapada. As scribe Mr Sahoo was a regular columnist in several vernaculars and English magazines so also was editor of IFFCO’s bilingual Magazine ‘Paradeep Baibav’ during his service at IFFCO. A farewell ceremony was observed by officials and employees of IFFCO on Wednesday inside the plant premises at Paradeep and gave retreat to Mr Sahoo whishing a happy retirement and healthy life further.
