In this connection it may be noted that the Sri Sri BORDA Hospital & Community Health centre has been serving the poor & needy people at a free or at an affordable cost.
The SSB Hospital & Community Health Centre, popularly known as “ Sri Sri BORDA HOSPITAL”, is a Health Care Unit for the underprivileged / common mass”. This HOSPITAL is managed by SSPPP TRUST, a Public Charitable Trust, which is registered under PUBLIC TRUST ACT, with recognition as a Charitable Institution under the Income Tax Act and under Foreign contribution’s Regulation Act. The Hospital was started in the year 1998 with only eye wing and has been developing into a multi-specialty one since 2008.
The SSPPP Trust is providing medical support to the poor people in the districts of Khurda, Puri and Nayagarh by conducting regular health camps, free medical check up and treatment. It is now engaged in Bhubaneswar Slum Cataract Programme with the approval of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation as well as Govt. of Odisha.
Now the hospital is functioning in its own building with OPDs, Operation Theatre and 50 beds for inpatients in three floors (28,000 sft). It is to be developed for two hundred beds, in due course. The Hospital gives tertiary treatment for eye and dental care and secondary care for general medicine and general surgery.
