Seven farmer’s body activists get bail in Jagatsinghpur.

JAGATSINGHPUR May 18. The seven activists of the farmers body Navenirman Krushak Sangathan [NKS] those had been arrested by police from different locations on Sunday following their unruly protest on 12 May at district collector office here were granted bail by SDJM court, Jagatsinghpur on Wednesday. After their bail conditions were fulfilled and executed all the activists were released from the Alipingala sub jail on Wednesday evening, informed NKS district co coordinator Rashmi Ranjan Swain.
Report said that the NKS activists were staged demonstration and protest meeting in front of SP office here on Wednesday later they resorted road blockade on Cuttack- Machhagaon road at district headquarters for long time. The agitating farmers body members claimed withdrawal of cases against the 7 activists those had been arrested by the cops on Sunday and described the police have illegally arrested NKS members. Later senior cops were held discussion with the activists and advised them to hold talk with civil administration officials.
The farmer’s body activists responded the matter positively and later gathered at collector office here and staged demonstration. The district administration officials as ADM and Sub- collector Jagatsinghpur and senior cops invited NKS leaders for discussion on Wednesday afternoon that earned positive results after administration assured NKS members to take step withdrawal of cases against farmers body activists on the May 12 incident.
Meanwhile the bail pleas of all the 7 NKS members were taken up by the SDJM court , Jagatsinghpur on Wednesday and court granted bail for the all accused persons as Abhya Swain, Prafulla Biswal, surendra Rout, Sarat Mohapatra, Gunanidhi Sahoo, Durga Charan Swain and Dharmananda Rout, after the bail orders were executed they were released from jail on Wednesday evening.
