President Ram Nath Kovind will stay in Puri Raj Bhawan during his two-day visit to Odisha which starts on February 19. His entourage will be put up in a hotel, Puri Collector Samarth Verma addressed the media on Friday.
The President will arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 2.45 pm on February 19. After 10 minutes, he will leave for Puri and have darshan of the sibling deities at Jagannath Temple at 5 pm. He is scheduled to spend 45 minutes in the 12th-century shrine.
The following day, the President is slated to inaugurate the three-year celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srimad Bhakti Sidhant Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada, the founder of Goudiya Mission. The President will also visit Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt at 10.30 am and then take a flight back to Delhi on the same day.
On Thursday, a team of six Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel arrived at Puri and inspected the Talabania helipad in the Pilgrim Town.
Around 40 platoons of police force will be deployed for the security of the President.
This is President Kovind’s third visit to Puri so far.
