The Energy Department of Odisha on Saturday urged the people of the State to observe Earth Hour from 8.30 PM – 9.30 PM.
Earth Hour Day is observed by turning off the lights for 1 hour in order to raise awareness about the issues that planet Earth is facing.
Started in 2007 by WWF and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney to raise awareness of climate change, Earth Hour is now one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment.
