MGNREGA labour dies at work place.

JAGATSINGHPUR  Mar 02. A 50 year old labour  who was working in a MGNREGA project at Mutunia village under Naugaon block died at spot on Friday, the deceased was identified as Manguli Parida. Report  said that the deceased along with 50 MGNREGA job card holders were  engaged digging a village pond, while work underway on Friday afternoon Manguli fell down at work place and went unconscious immediately shifted to Naugaon hospital for treatment , where he declared brought dead . The untimely death of Manguli sparked tension among the villagers who staged protest in front of Naugaon block office taking the dead body on road, later block development officer held discussion with the agitating villagers and awarded Rs 10, 000 compensation from Red cross and promised giving other financial benefits to the deceased kin , then the agitation was called off. The deceased is survived by his wife, 4 daughters, one son and widow mother.
