Odisha Govt. has been decided to launch all-women bus service, connecting Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from March eight, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This comes amid the raging issue of girls safety once the metropolis gang-rape.
Initially, the govt would press into service 2 buses of state-owned Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) on the route. every bus with sitting capability of forty two would be managed by ladies conductors.
“More vehicles would be provided betting on demand. Route chart and frequency of running would be finalized inside daily,” a transport department officer said.
