JAGATSINGHPUR Aug 05. Hundreds of Congress supporters including its youth wing on Monday held a protest meeting and demonstration in front of Tirtol block office and demanded resignation and action against Tirtol MLA Rabindra Bhoi in the false affidavit row incensing past one week. Meanwhile the angry congress sympathizers submitted a memorandum before Block Development Officer Tirtol addressed to Election commission of India and state election commission seeking legal action against legislator Rabi Bhoi.
Report said that congress workers took out a motor cycle rally from Biridi block that covered Raghunathpur block , and converged at Tirtol block office on Monday afternoon where a massive demonstration was observed , then congress leaders held a protest meeting and discussed the Rabi Bhoi’s falsehood affidavit what he had submitted during elections, and stated documentary evidences show that MLA Bhoi has committed blunder with regard to his educational qualification, and that violates Section 125 [A] of Representation of the people’s Act 1951,so we approached Election Commission of India and state election commission taking action against the Errant MLA, congress leaders lamented . congress leaders as Raj Kishor Behera , Bijaya Nayak, Gagan Das, Devi Prasanna Tripathy were leading the demonstration and protest meeting.
Sources informed that after the Rabi Bhoi’s affidavit row surfaced district congress committee including its Tirtol counterparts took the matter seriously and organized the protest meeting with a motive to expose the BJD legislator’s fraud activity, how a MLA is concealing his educational background when everything in the election process is going to be transparent including personal background of a contesting candidate. However discussions are rife at public domain that state chief minister Naveen Patnaik is shielding a liar MLA, when the allegation against him is obviously correct and MLA Bhoi has asserted his mistake.
meanwhile with the false affidavit row erupted MLA Rabi Bhoi has been sidelined by most BJD leaders from Biridi, Tirtol and Raghunathpur blocks , many of BJD supporters have maintained distance from the MLA ultimately he has put in to isolate. Party workers are waiting chief minister’s decision over the matter , Report said that Tirtol Block BJD unit on Sunday organized a party meeting and discussed the Tirtol MLA’s false affidavit matter where many leaders fumed the ongoing crisis is affecting party image in public.
