JAGATSINGHPUR Apr 11. Castigating the step motherly attitude of the central ruling Congress led UPA government neglecting Odisha on every front, state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday addressing a public meeting at Ambasala near Balikuda block echoed to begin a war against union government claiming state’s legitimate rights and sought people’s support.

The union government is not co operating with Odisha’s BJD government past nine years, the state is full of mineral resources, centre is stalling projects and trying to arrest the progress march of the state, ironically we have been ignored getting our legitimate mineral royalty from union government. Highlighting various issues such as centre neglect giving special category status and special package to Odisha and be it funds allocation in railway budget and Polavaram project chief minister said it became intolerable for Odisha people past couple of years, his party would work with more vigor and expose the central government‘s neglect towards Odisha in coming 2014 elections, he maintained.

Reiterating his government ‘s commitment to the development of the state chief minister said my government has been very particular about the socio economic development of the state and uplift of the poor and downtrodden people , efforts are on to alleviate poverty in the state , underlining the achievements of his government he added that my government has taken various steps in the field of agriculture, horticulture, education, communication and employment sectors , recently state government has unveiled Odisha state youth policy 2013, aiming to create more opportunities for young men and women for giving quality education, entrepreneurship and employment . Youths constitute 42 percent of the state population, their education and skill development is an important matter to empower them, chief minster added.

Chief Minister was on a whirlwind tour to Balikuda on Thursday evening inaugurated newly constructed fire station office building and Atma building at Ambasal and addressed a public meeting. Balikuda- Erasama MLA Prashant Muduli, district BJD president and senior MLA Bishnu Das, Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai , zilla Parishad president were spoke on the occasion.
