India today recorded 1,61,386 new COVID cases in the past 24 hours taking the total number of recorded COVID-19 cases to 4,16,30,885. The COVID positivity rate dropped from 11.6% to 9.6%.
The number of active cases in India stands at 16.21 lakhs.
Meanwhile, 1733 people died of COVID in the last 24 hours.
Over 75% of the adult population in India is fully vaccinated as of now.
