Kahnu Nanda: Paradeep Dec 23. A girl child caring programme namly Sustha Balika Abhiyan had launched by co-operative fertilizer major IFFCO’s Paradeep unit at Government girls high school premises in Chatua near Kujanga, Smt Saroj Gandhi president ladies club, IFFCO was inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the event Smt Gandhi said the programme aims providing free medical aids and periodical treatment to the school going girls in order to find out the malnutrition and improve their health status. As many as 120 girl students of the school had undergone free medical examination and medicines and vitamins worth Rs 1 Lakh had distributed among them. Dr Puspa Mohanty medical head of the IFFCO accompanied by group of medicos conducted the camp. Earlier similar camp was held in Nabajyoti girls high school, Biswali near Paradeep and Ladies club and IFFCO authority have planned to launch similar health check up programme in several schools of Jagatsinghpur district in near future , An IFFCO press release informed.
