JAGATSINGHPUR Apr 06. The state crime branch police on Friday began probe over the much clamored Machhagaon rape and murder incident occurred at Ochinda village a fortnight ago. CB deputy superintendent of police P K Pradhan accompanied by few senior cops reached at Ochinda village and visited deceased woman Sanjukta Rath house and talked with family members and collected information’s then few villagers were questioned by the CB officials connecting the incident and visited the site where the woman was raped . The visiting CB officials returning village told media persons that today they held preliminary investigation and discussed with local police about the incident , they will visit the village again at earliest for further investigation. Notable to inform on 12 March the deceased woman was raped and murdered by one Dwarika Nath Sethi hailing from Paikasahi village ,, after the incident local congress unit went on street and staged protest meeting and demonstration seeking CB probe , meanwhile police have picked up the alleged culprit Dwarika Nath Sethy and forwarded to court and after rejection of his bail plea spending life at Alipinga sub jail.
