BJD holds its 15th foundation day celebration.
by Kahnu Nanda : JAGATSINGHPUR Dec 26. The ruling Biju Janata Dal [BJD] district unit celebrated its 15th foundation day in a glittering function held in collector’s parade ground here on Wednesday. Senior MLA and district BJD president Bishnu Das presided the function along with other top party leaders as Tirtol legislator Ravi Bhoi, veteran freedom fighter and former MLA Priyanath Dey, Zilla Parishad president Devidatta Mohanty, municipality chairman M S Sahoo, Jagatsinghpur and Naugaon block chairpersons, half dozen Zilla Parishad members including many BJD seniors were spoke on the occasion. Addressing the party workers senior MLA Bishnu Das recalled the formation of the BJD in state and its leadership by state chief minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed the implementation of various welfare schemes launched by ruling BJD government in state meanwhile chief minister Naveen Patnaik has impacted in national politics in past couple of years his significant role the non congress chief ministers campaign against the National Counter Terrorism Centre [NCTC] and fielding a tribal leader P A Sangma as a candidate for the presidential elections later approved by most of non congress Parties in country have become matter of discussion across the country, so MLA appealed gathering BJD supporters to take oath in the party’s foundation day for strengthening BJD in gross root level and making chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s BJD stronger before 2014 polls, MLA maintained.
